Established in 1980, A/D has served Southern California for more than 45 years. Under new management, we're investing heavily in our people, technology, training, vehicles, operations, and customer experience as we build the next generation of A/D Air Conditioning & Heating.

We're looking for experienced HVAC Service Technicians who want more than just another service job. We want technicians who are interested in joining a growing company where strong performers can build a long-term career and have opportunities to advance as we expand.

We primarily specialize in residential HVAC service, repair, maintenance, and replacement, along with select light-commercial work.

If you're a skilled technician who can troubleshoot HVAC systems, communicate professionally with homeowners, and identify repair and replacement opportunities, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

✔ Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential and light-commercial HVAC systems.

✔ Troubleshoot a wide range of heating and cooling equipment, including:

• Split-system air conditioners

• Heat pumps

• Gas furnaces

• Air handlers and fan coils

• Package units

• Mini-split and ductless systems

• Thermostats and controls

• Indoor air quality equipment

• Refrigeration and electrical components

• Airflow and comfort-related issues

✔ Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups.

✔ Accurately diagnose equipment failures and recommend appropriate repair options.

✔ Identify systems that may be candidates for replacement and clearly communicate available options to customers.

✔ Prepare and present repair recommendations and estimates using ServiceTitan.

✔ Educate customers on maintenance agreements, indoor air quality products, system upgrades, and available financing options when appropriate.

✔ Complete service calls, invoices, photos, notes, equipment information, and other documentation accurately.

✔ Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked company vehicle.

✔ Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

✔ Follow all company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable codes and regulations.

✔ Participate in scheduled after-hours, evening, and weekend service coverage as needed.

What We're Looking For

✅ 3+ years of HVAC service and repair experience preferred.

✅ Strong residential HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

✅ Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, airflow, and refrigeration-related HVAC problems.

✅ EPA Section 608 Certification preferred/required as applicable to job duties.

✅ Strong communication and customer-service skills.

✅ Comfortable explaining repair and replacement options to homeowners without using high-pressure sales tactics.

✅ Ability to recognize legitimate opportunities for additional repairs, system improvements, maintenance agreements, and equipment replacement.

✅ Strong work ethic, integrity, organization, and attention to detail.

✅ Ability to work independently in the field while communicating effectively with dispatch and management.

✅ Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

✅ Ability to operate a company vehicle and successfully complete applicable background and drug screening requirements.

✅ Must have appropriate personal hand tools for the position.

✅ Willingness to work periodic after-hours and weekend shifts when required.

✅ ServiceTitan experience strongly preferred.
